Class starts at 9am and ends around 5pm
Intermediate trim.
This class starts with any questions from previous classes you or from the day before. After everyone’s questions are answered. You will be given a cadaver hoof to trim, with no instruction. Once again you will take before pictures. This is done to see what you remember from the day before. There is no perfect trim or pressure. It is strictly to see what areas you need help with. After everyone is done with trimming. Then each person will describe to the class what they started with, what they did, and why. Then you will describe the plan going forward. These are important steps to verbalize your process. The second half of the Intermediate class is about ergonomic positions to keep you and the horse safe during trimming. Many people struggle with the normal trimming positions. My job is to help you find the easiest and safest way to enjoy trimming without taxing you or the horse. Class sizes are usually 10-15 students. They are mixed in experience, so there is never any pressure.
Prerequisite for this class is the Beginner trimming and ETEH class.
Cost for this class is 250.00 for full participants
125.00 for auditors
A 50.00 non refundable deposit is required to hold a spot.
All classes must be paid in full 14 days prior to class.
