Benefits of taking the Certification Classes:
Any class that you take before you become certified, you can repeat the same class as many times as you would like for half price.
After you become certified, you can take any of the certification classes as a volunteer helper (auditor) for free. Every class has a new emphasis depending on the students, therefore every class is a new learning opportunity, allowing graduates to continue their education and make new connections.
As of January 1st, 2022
Trimming Graduates Must Attend:
at least 1 APC class per year or 2 repeat classes per year to keep your trimming endorsements.
This keeps everyone in the loop.
Because so many of my students have done this, when Pete seen them in action, this is what he had to say:
After January 2015 clinic:
"Great to see you. Your students speak for themselves... You are a great teacher." ~ Pete Ramey

After working with several body workers, other equine professionals, and horse owners that just want to be educated but not be full time hoof trimmers, I decided to offer an alternative certification. Those who participate in this certification would be required to take all the same certification classes as the trimming graduates, except the Hoof Protection. They would not be required to do the live trims. They would be allowed to audit the Intermediate, and Advanced, instead of being full participants. Non Trimming Fellow's will be allowed to come to The Advanced Professionals Class.
1. Exploring the Equine Hoof
2. Beginner Trimming and Anatomy
3. Intermediate Trimming
4. Advanced Trimming
5. Footfall Analysis HWP
6. 3 day Hoof Protection class.
